My name is Angela Du and I am a fourth-year student majoring in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate researcher in the DuPage Lab, my project focuses on investigating the role of CXCR3-expressing regulatory T cells (Tregs) in the tumor microenvironment. My research aims to inform the development of targeted cancer immunotherapies that selectively disrupt CXCR3⁺ Treg function, with the potential to explore other immunoregulatory receptors in the future. Previously, I also interned at Bristol Myers Squibb, where I contributed to the development of gene-edited CAR T cells for hepatocellular carcinoma. I’m also passionate about STEM outreach and education. I plan on applying to PhD programs this application cycle, and I hope to one day become a professor and continue my love of research, teaching, and mentorship.
