I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering PhD student co-advised by Prof. Hayden Taylor and Prof. Lining Yao. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London and spent a year working at a start-up that designs protein based biodegradable synthetic textile fibres for the textile industry before starting graduate school.
My work broadly focuses on developing microscale platforms to spatiotemporally decode and control biological transport processes. To this end, my research spans two key thrusts: additively manufacturing nanocarrier embedded hydrogel microenvironments for phytohormone delivery in hydroponic systems, and engineering instrumented organoid devices for cytokine signal reconstruction during immunotherapy. By leveraging microfabrication tools to quantitatively investigate and interface with plant and cellular biology, I aim to advance both sustainable agriculture and human health.
Outside the lab, I enjoy rock climbing, playing squash, and pretending to be a barista.
