Jamie Geng

I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering, and I study optoelectronics. I am interested in the way light interacts with materials and the way those interactions can be leveraged to create useful semiconductor devices. My current work focuses on efficient hyperspectral inference, which uses the hidden information in the way all materials interact differently with light to make identifications in fields such as precision agriculture and medicine. Outside of the lab, I am an avid knitter and sewist when sedentary, and hiker and gym rat when active.
