My name is Jia Jia. I’m a senior studying Business Administration and Neuroscience at UC Berkeley, and I grew up in Toronto, Canada. While studying at Berkeley, I’ve had the pleasure of engaging in various extracurricular activities, from consulting clubs to neuroscience lab research. In particular, through my work in the Kaufer Lab, I’ve gained exposure to Alzheimer’s disease research and how experiments are conducted. Beyond the scientific techniques, I’ve met many talented, hardworking scientists. In the future, I hope to work at the intersection of technological innovation and medicine. Specifically, I hope to support the search for better treatments for neurodegeneration and become an impactful leader in the biotech space.
