I am a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at UC Berkeley, where I work with Professor Mary Scott and conduct research at the National Center for Electron Microscopy at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. My research focuses on understanding how the atomic structure, strain, and nanoscale organization of materials influence their properties. I use advanced electron microscopy, particularly 4D-STEM, to explore low-dimensional materials and uncover structural phenomena that could help guide the development of next-generation electronic materials and devices.
Before coming to Berkeley, I received my BS and MS in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where I later had the opportunity to serve as a faculty member. Beyond research, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and playing sports, especially soccer and tennis. I am excited to be part of the H2H8 community and grateful for its support of my research. I look forward to connecting with and learning from others in the community!
