H2H8 Charter Membership
The H2H8 Charter Membership emphasizes quality over quantity. Qualifications and commitment are of the highest standards for charter members. Once an entry member reaches $10,000 in donations they qualify to apply for charter membership. All charter members are considered H2H8 stakeholders and have equal voting rights regarding the H2H8 Charter and management. H2H8 Charter governs the values and functioning of the H2H8 Association.

Charter members within a charter community have the authority to accept or reject applicants. When applying for a charter membership it is beneficial to have one or more charter members vouch for you.

The pledge serves as the foundation for unifying Charter Members’ commitment to the H2H8 mission and core values.
Commitment to other charter members
Commitment to other charter members and the successful implementation of the H2H8 member legacy programs including Pass-it-Forward Mementos and Wish for Humanity. The pledge is a commitment for each new charter member to support the realization of the legacy of earlier charter members.
A unifying spirit between all charter members
As H2H8 grows, charter members will meet across the globe. When they meet for the first time they will have an instant connection knowing they both have committed to the same spirit of the pledge.
Charter Membership Levels
Charter member donations will be handled through either check or wire transfer. 90% of membership donation is kept in the “Humanity Fund”, a trust fund to be used for H2H8 programs unless specified otherwise. 10% of membership donation is used to support the operation of the H2H8 Association. Charter members get 9 vote vouchers for every $1,000 donation. Charter members can participate in interviewing research grant applicants, and have full access to research grant applications for voting purposes.
Charter members can specify to donate to H2H8 Research Grant Endowment Fund for investment growth to secure funding for future research grants. Charter members donating to Endowment Fund can create a perpetual web-accessible Digital Self maintained by H2H8. Membership donation is cumulative over time as long as the Charter Membership is in good standing. A charter member can advance to a higher membership level with additional donations at any time.
Charter Member Privacy within H2H8 Organization
Charter member identity is normally accessible to charter members, and the management office of the same Charter Community, H2H8 Central Office, and the H2H8 Management Boards. The information and identity of a Charter Member who desires Stricter Privacy can be carefully protected within the H2H8 Organization on a Need-To-Know basis.
Private Foundations, Donor Advised Funds, and Public Charity Donations
H2H8 welcomes donations from private foundations, Donor Advised Funds, nonprofits, or charities(collectively as a charitable organization). A charitable organization must have a representative to become a H2H8 charter member. The representative will represent the charitable organization in all H2H8 matters. The representative will go through qualification as a charter member.
